Adobe introduced our little mascot with the first Meet MAT contest back in 2017, and he has become quite a sensation. With hundreds of paint jobs, a dedicated book, collectible figurines, and various 3D printed versions, MAT has been busy! And now, MAT is back, having evolved a bit.
What's Meet Mat 3 All About?
Meet Mat 3 invites your students to showcase their creativity and talent using Substance 3D Painter to texture MAT. The best part? The design brief is wide open, allowing them the freedom to explore any theme and style imaginable. It's their chance to let their imagination run wild and create something truly unique.

- Submit Their Entry: Click the "Submit Entry" button on the official Meet Mat 3 contest page, and they can start bringing MAT to life using Substance 3D Painter.
- Share Their Progress: Encourage your students to regularly update their entry page to showcase the different stages of their creative process. It's not just about the final result; we want to see their artistic journey.
