After the success of Meet MAT 3, which attracted hundreds of entries worldwide, we’re eager to see how this year’s participants will raise the bar. Encourage your students to take part in this opportunity to stand out, engage with a creative community, and compete for incredible prizes.
What is Meet MAT 4?
Meet MAT 4 challenges participants to use Substance 3D Painter to texture MAT, a 3D model provided to all contestants. Your students will have the chance to transform MAT into a unique work of art, pushing their creativity and technical skills to new levels. This contest is an excellent way for them to showcase their talent and represent your school on a global platform.
Key Contest Details
- Eligibility: Students must be at least 18 years old and have no more than one year of professional industry experience by the contest’s closing date.
- Theme: Students will create an innovative, unique, and visually stunning design for MAT.
- Tools: The contest requires the use of Adobe Substance 3D Painter as the primary tool for texturing the model.
- Prizes: Your students will compete for amazing prizes, including high-end hardware, software licenses, and opportunities for professional exposure.

- Mat Masterclass: Students can follow along with expert tutorials, available on our YouTube channel, where they’ll learn techniques to master Substance 3D Painter.
- Live Q&A Sessions: After each tutorial, students can participate in live Q&A sessions to get answers to their technical questions.
- Live Feedback from Judges: Each week, a selection of student entries will receive live feedback from industry judges, offering insights and advice on how to improve their work.
- Join Our Discord: Encourage your students to join our Discord server, where they can connect with other entrants, share progress, and participate in live sessions.
How to Enter
- Download an education license of Substance 3D Painter, or a 30-day trial.
- Click the Submit Entry button to get started.
- Encourage your students to share regular updates and submit their final renders before entries close.
